10. Lazarus Muoka – Most Influential Pastors In Nigeria

Lazarus mouka, the founder, leader and General overseer of the lord’s chosen charismatic revival movement is the 10th most influential Pastors in Nigeria. He is a Minister, pastor and author of several christian books, journals and publications.

Being born in his hometown, Mgbidi in Imo state, he started and finished his Primary and Secondary School education in Imo state. He was raised and brought up in a Catholic family.

In 1975, Lazarus Mouka started working for a company in Lagos for some time after which he decided to quit and start up his own business.

His high drive for the things of God has always been his driving force. In 1975, Lazarus mouka claimed to have had messages in form of dreams from God prompting him to set up his own church. He pulled out from the church he was serving and set up the Lords chosen Charismatic Revival Movement. His aim was to share the undiluted word of God.

This lords chosen which started small with few members have gained popularity in Nigeria and worldwide, impacting thousands of lives through preaching and services.

However, just as in every good thing one does, there will be criticism. Lazarus mouka was criticized and charged that his miracles were fake, he denies such accusations and allegations against him, but in the court there are some cases that prove that his miracles are true.

Bishop Mike okonkwo is the founder, leader and bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM). He is a passionate minister and preacher having been in his ministry for more than 30 years.

Bishop Mike Okonkwo was born in Oghunike, Anambra. He started his Primary school education at Enugu state, after which he headed to Lagos to get his Secondary school education.

Bishop Mike Okonknwo first started his career in the year 1964 where he served at the Nigerian Ports Authority, after which he went off to the African continental bank where he became a banker. His banking career went down the hill which made him migrate to the Nigerian army to compensate for his loss.

He eventually left the Nigerian army after the war ended. Unknowingly for him, he left the Nigerian army to join a much bigger army (Gods own army).

In 1970, after an encounter with God, he joined the United Church of Christ (UCC) where he served,  a year after he  was ordained as a pastor.

Bishop mike okonkwo worked diligently and studiously under UCC, establishing and setting up other of branches across Lagos, until it was time for him to answer his own calling; hence he left to set up The Redeemed Evangelical Mission in January, 1981.

Ever since 1981, TREM has grown massively into 180 branches across Nigeria. Bishop Mike Okonkwo is a role model to many as he has many leadership positions in the body of Christ and has impacted millions of people through conferences, crusades, evangelisms, television and radio.

Bishop Mike Okonknwo is the founder of the empowerment for the less privileges(ELP) foundation, an organization that alleviates problems of the less privileged through hospital donations, free vocational training centers, schools etc. He also funds a scholarship program for the talented and gifted students.

Pastor Chris  was born in his hometown, ethioppe, Abraka in Delta state. He had his secondary school education at Benin City, after which he left to study law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Bishop Ayo Oritsejafor was born in Lagos, into the family of Mr. Joseph Monday Oritsejafor and Mrs. Roli Durojaiye Oritesejafor. His mother was known as a staunch member of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

Bishop Ayo Oritsejafor became a born again Christian in 1972, in an evangelical Crusade held in Sapele, Nigeria. The richest pastor in Nigeria, David Oyedepo said to be worth $180 million, is not just only a pastor, but an author, architect, businessman and founder and presiding bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun state and living faith church worldwide known as Winners chapel.

Oyedepo was born in Osogbo, but a native of kwara state. His father was a Muslim while his mother a Christian.  He was raised and brought up by his grandmother, where he learnt major doctrines of the Christian life like the importance of  morning prayers and tithing.

Oyedepo studied architecture at kwara state polytechnic after which he began working with the federal ministry of works and then resigned to concentrate on his missionary work. According to him, he had always had a high desire for the things of God.
